Yes, we call the VIA our home while we are on the road. Cleaning and maintenance are necessary even on this small home! I'll let Bryant blog on maintenance...that is his bailiwick...mine should be cleaning, right?
I gave her a good cleaning and vacuuming before we left. Bryant had a small vacuum that he thought we should bring with us...he used it on his car...one of those lightweight things...I said "no, those don't work well, we don't have the space, and, we won't need one"! I did have a small dustpan and brush that I thought surely should do the job on this small house.
Small...simple and easy to store! Which brings my thoughts back to our first morning when we woke up in Oregon. I looked at my phone and I had gotten a notification of motion being detected from our security cameras in the living room! Oh, my!! My heart started beating faster and my thoughts went to...do I call my neighbor...my son...the police? Then I looked at the video...
First, in my defense...I had been not home during the week for two years (working)...only home on the weekends. Projects took priority on the weekends ...not cleaning the house! But, LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT COBWEB!! Oh, my! Eventually, I will have to ask my son to go out and clean the cobweb so we stop getting alerts at night...yes, only at night when the heat comes on and makes the cobweb dance!
So, with cleaning on my mind, and this being our home for the next couple of months...on the list today when we go into town is a small vacuum...there will be no cobwebs in this house!
